Lieutenant Mitchell Obrecht was a male Starfleet engineer. Soon after transferring to the USS Enterprise-E in 2379 he was part of the Bravo team to Tezwa's Solasook Peninsula under Lieutenant Commander Data. (TNG novel: A Time to Kill)

After the Enterprise uncovered the truth about the nadion-pulse cannons and intercepted further contraband shipments intended to frame the Tholians, Obrecht helped to catalog the materials recovered from the planet. (TNG novel: A Time to Heal)
