Monyodin

Monyodin was a male Benzite in the 24th century.

In 2376 Monyodin served on Deep Space 9 and a lab technician. In April of that year he was in the Mid-Core when the station was attacked by a group of Jem'Hadar, a cloud of polymer gas was released from a temp bank of atmospheric regulators which he was exposed too. The gas dissolved the alveoli in his lungs.

Because Benzite physiology made transplants near-impossible Doctor Julian Bashir was unable to help Monyodin, only being able to make his last hours comfortable. Prynn Tenmei stayed at his bedside in the Infirmary as Monydin approached his death. (DS9 novel: Avatar)
