For other uses, see Morek.

Morek was a 23rd century Klingon male who served as a gunner on the B'rel-class bird-of-prey IKS Okrona. Morek was balding male who had several powerful family members.

Morek had served on the Okrona before Captain Klaa and Executive Officer Vixis were assigned. Morek was third-in-line for command of the vessel. Since Klaa had the Okrona modified so that he could control the weapons on the ship from the command chair, it limited Morek's gunner duties to menial tasks. In 2287 Morek was on the bridge when Vixis discovered the Pioneer 10 probe that had drifted into Klingon territory.

When Captain Klaa ordered the Okrona to pursue the USS Enterprise-A into the Great Barrier, Morek saw this as an opportunity to advance in rank and gain command of the Okrona. Morek was able to bypass the security lock on Vixis' quarters and waited for her return. He brought up concerns from the crew about entering the barrier and advised Vixis to perform her duties as executive officer. She considered this first proposal but rebuked his second proposal for affection. He advised Vixis to distract Klaa since the Captain had shown some physical attraction towards her. This was a ruse to kill both the XO and the Captain together. Unbeknownst to Morek, Klaa had set a trap for him and was vaporized by Tarag when he entered Klaa's quarters.
