Mot, a Bolian male, was a civilian barber aboard both the USS Enterprise-D and Enterprise-E.

In 2369, Mot's identity was borrowed by Captain Picard, while evading trilithium thieves, led by Kelsey. (TNG episode: "Starship Mine")

In 2372, Ambassador Aubin Tabor noted that Mot, as well as his fellow barber Jyme Soule, was well liked by the command crew of the Enterprise. (TNG - Section 31 novel: Rogue)

In 2376, Mot was also aboard the Enterprise-E during the Genesis Wave crisis. (TNG novels: The Genesis Wave, Book 1, The Genesis Wave, Book 2)
