In 2371, Smiley used the device to travel to our universe and later used it to take Benjamin Sisko to the mirror universe. (DS9 episode: "Through the Looking Glass")

The following year, Professor Jennifer Sisko left a multidimensional transporter device in Captain Sisko's quarters for him to use in following herself and Jake Sisko to the mirror universe. (DS9 episode: "Shattered Mirror")

In 2374, Bareil Antos used a multidimensional transporter to transport to Deep Space 9. Bareil claimed it had been given to him as a gift by a Terran. Intendant Kira Nerys also had such a device. (DS9 episode: "Resurrection")

Zek once saw a PADD with information that Miles O'Brien had given Rom to study. Zek was later able to construct one for himself. (DS9 episode: "The Emperor's New Cloak")

In 2375, Ezri Tigan used multidimensional transporter to transporter herself, Quark and Rom to the mirror universe Terok Nor. (DS9 episode: "The Emperor's New Cloak")

By 2376, Intendant Kira and Ke Hovath had created a new transporter based on the original multidimensional transporter. This new transporter was designed to allow a person to transport to any reality although the power required was large. In 2377, Taran'atar and Iliana Ghemor transported to the mirror universe using the new device. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
