Murobis was a class M planet in the Murobis star system, Trexelian Sector 001. The lush planet was a the site of a library controlled by an advanced artificial intelligence, possibly of Progenitor origin. (ST video game: Trexels)
Murobis was a hospitable planet. Its landmass was covered by green vegetation and strewn with dark blue lakes. Conifer-like trees could be found on plains. There were also caves. The library was spread across the surface, which its core situated inside a cave. (ST video game: Trexels)
On stardate 7###.8 (circa 2270), the Federation Starfleet starship USS Trexelprise visited Murobis and investigated the library. When the landing party turned on the library, it began to overload the ship's databank and the crew's minds. The landing party fought back robots defending the library and convinced the library itself that knowledge was worth nothing if it killed. The library concluded that life was primary, knowledge secondary, and severed its data link. To protect the life, the library's artificial intelligence destroyed itself. The hardware was left behind, and the Trexelprise convinced Starfleet Command to construct a science outpost on Murobis. (ST video game: Trexels)
