The Nalori were a species that has clashed with the Federation in the past, and lost. Prominent Nalori features included oily, midnight-black skin, hair colors ranging from pale violet to magenta, flat black eyes with no evident iris or pupils, and black teeth & bones. Braided beards were common among males, and ritual scarring marked life stages and rites of passage, such as manhood, marriage, parenthood, etc. (VAN novels: Harbinger, Summon the Thunder, Reap the Whirlwind)
