Ensign Neela was a Bajoran woman, loyal to Vedek Winn Adami, who was stationed on Deep Space 9 in 2369.

She once helped Chief O'Brien repair Jadzia Dax's science station in Ops. (DS9: "Duet")

After Winn's plan to lure Bareil Antos to DS9 was successful, Neela took the weapon detectors on the Promenade offline. While doing so, she was surprised by Ensign Aquino and killed him.

She later tried to assassinate Bareil, as he was making a speech, but was stopped by Benjamin Sisko. After her attempt was foiled, she claimed the Prophets spoke to her. (DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets")
