New Burbank is the capital city and center of government of Rigel VI, a member of the United Rigel Colonies and the Federation. It was named after the popular Earth city of Burbank, California due to the large population of Humans on the planet. (ST reference: Star Charts)
- Rigel IV is a colony, not naturally inhabited by a humanoid species. The Rigelians and Humans worked together to colonize the planet.
