The New Chicago Cubs were a baseball team in the Cestus Baseball League, based in the city of New Chicago on Cestus III. It was formed in 2371, one of the original teams of CBL.

The Cubs were named for the Chicago Cubs of the old National League on Earth, the only team in the CBL allowed to take the name of a historic Earth team.

By the year 2380, the Cubs had enjoyed minimal success, finishing last in the Northern Division in every season since their inception. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)

New Wrigley Field, first mentioned in A Singular Destiny, was presumably the Cubs' home field, though this has not been established explicitly.
