New Halana was a planet that was terraformed for the Halanans by Gideon Seyetik.

Seyetik considered New Halana to be a paradise. After the planet was successfully terraformed, Seyetik met Nidell and later married her. After Seyetik's death, Nidell planned to return to New Halana. (DS9 episode: "Second Sight")
