Newland Yanagimachi Rift was a human dog trainer and entertainer in the 23rd century, and was married to singer Philomena Thetis. In the 2240s, Rift established the Warp-Speed Classic Vaudeville Company with Marcellin and Amelinda Lukarian's father.
