History[]
Around the year 1571, Jibim Kiba Siber, the Supreme Ruler of the Jibetian Confederacy, was convinced by his aide Bikon to escape the Jibetian Revolution by boarding the Nibix and to launch it on a journey to the world of New Jibet. Due to the long distance between Jibet and the planned destination, Siber and the others who accompanied him were placed in cryogenic stasis. Also aboard the Nibix were valuable treasures and artwork that, when the Nibix was launched and disappeared, made it one of the most famous vessels in history. Benjamin Sisko and his crew discovered the Nibix near Deep Space 9 in 2371, leading to a conflict with the Jibetians and the Ferengi. (DS9 novel: The Long Night)
