Around 2262, Lieutenant Commander Danehl served as second officer aboard the Saladin-class destroyer USS Hannibal while it was assigned to Federation Border Patrol at Starbase 24. In 2274, Captain] Danehl was the commanding officer of the Capella-class USS Hypatia, then attached to the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations.
