The No'Var Outpost was a Klingon outpost located along the Klingon-Romulan border. The outpost was constructed in the wake of Romulan attacks at Narendra III and Khitomer, acting as warning system against Romulan incursions into Klingon space, although she was out of subspace communications range with Qo'noS. By the 2370s decade, No'Var had a full array of disruptor blasters and a quantum torpedo cannon.

In an alternate timeline where the Cardassian Union still occupied Bajor into the 2370s, Commander J'rak served as the outposts commanding officer. In 2373, Lieutenant Krivaq was assigned to the outpost and, over the next five months, saw little action. The dry spell came to an end when a Romulan warbird decloaked in front of the outpost and launched a direct assault. The outpost was able to match the warbird's fire and eventually destroyed her, but her deflector shields fell first and the warbird was able to inflict damage to the outpost's reactor.
