The Oberon-class was a type of starship proposed for use by the Federation Starfleet in the 24th century. The Oberon was a heavy frigate design that, by the turn of the 2270s decade, had been proposed for upcoming construction. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom)

This class presumably would include a prototype ship that would be named USS Oberon, although no such ship was mentioned. It is only known that this class was proposed, as it has not been confirmed whether or not the planned construction did continue.
