Oliana Mirren was a human female serving in Starfleet in the late 24th century, noted for her reed-thin and short stature and blond hair. In 2381 Lieutenant Mirren was the senior operations manager on the USS Aventine.
While investigating the crash of the NX Columbia, Mirren recovered ship's logs indicating the autopilot had been engaged to allow the vessel to coast to a crash landing, despite there being no crew left to program the computer. During her second duty shift of the day, she also reported to Captain Ezri Dax finding redundant computer transporter records showing the possible location of the missing Columbia crew having beamed down and then not back up, sixty three days after the Romulan assault. (ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night)
After the Aventine answered the distress call of the USS Enterprise-E at the Azure Nebula, Mirren was responsible for decrypting transphasic torpedo firing patterns, as the Enterprise's targeting computer was offline. After the discovery of the subspace tunnels was shared with the Enterprise, Mirren aided both chief engineers Geordi La Forge and Mikaela Leishman in upgrading the ship's systems to allow them safe passage; she found the obvious flirting between the two distasteful. After the Aventine traveled through one such tunnel, placing them near the Carina Arm, the vessel was attacked by a Hirogen hunting fleet, and Mirren was badly injured during the engagement when the operations console exploded; Gaff chim Nak took over the responsibilities from the science two console.
