The Omari-Ekon was an Orion merchantman craft in the 2260s. It was the base of operations for the merchant-prince Ganz, and was often docked at Starbase 47 in 2265 and 2266. The ship smelled of spice, sauces, and sweat, with strobes, spotlights, and thumping music in the gambling area. The ship also had tastefully appointed and well-equipped bathroom facilities for multiple species. (VAN novel: Harbinger)

Omari-Ekon had a casino, a bar, and a bordello. The casino included banks of computerized games of chance. Legally the ship is sovereign Orion territory, not subject to Federation law. (VAN novella: What Judgments Come)

The ship's casino had a transparent aluminum dome. (VAN novella: The Stars Look Down)
