Omega Cygni is a group of stars, one part of which is orbited by a class M planet, Cygnet XIV, located in Federation space. The stars of these systems are visible from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus, ranging from 400 to over 800 light-years distant. In real life, Omega Cygni is a group of stars that appear together when viewed from Earth's sky, but in actuality are space hundreds of light years apart. It was not specified which of these real life systems contained the planet Mudd visited.
