Explored Galaxy

Explored galaxy map showing Omega Cyngi.

Omega Cygni is a group of stars, one part of which is orbited by a class M planet, Cygnet XIV, located in Federation space. The stars of these systems are visible from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus, ranging from 400 to over 800 light-years distant. (TNG episode: "Conspiracy"; TAS novelization: The Time Trap; SCE eBook: Where Time Stands Still)

Harry Mudd visited Omega Cygni in the mid 23rd century, and cheated some natives by selling their own oceans to them. (TAS episode: "Mudd's Passion")

In real life, Omega Cygni is a group of stars that appear together when viewed from Earth's sky, but in actuality are spaced hundreds of light-years apart. It was not specified which of these real life systems contained the planet Mudd visited. FASA RPG module: The Federation suggests that one of these systems is Maluria.
