Omicron Persei (also known as Atik) was a binary star system located near a border of the Romulan Neutral Zone, about 1,000 ly from Earth.

The system contained at least one Class M planet which was inhabited, and contained large amounts of dilithium deposits. (TOS comic: "Cura Te Ipsum")

The details of this system's makeup were not mentioned in Star Trek stories, but are derived from real-life scientific knowledge.
