"Only You Can Save Yourself" is a DS9 comic published in the 2018 Waypoint Special from IDW Publishing. In this story, Ezri Dax must evacuate a medical facility before hostile Andorians destroy it.
Summary[]
Strife on Andoria incites some Andorians to invade a Federation medical outpost on an asteroid in neutral territory. On assignment at the facility, Trill medical officer Ezri Dax and her Bolian friend Zenth hope to evacuate its patients. She draws inspiration from previous hosts of her Trill symbiont, including leadership advice from councillor Lela Dax. She reroutes power to open a locked door, echoing thoughts of engineer Tobin Dax.
A huge section of flooring has been blasted away in the bay, and Ezri climbs her way across ceiling conduits with urging from gymnast Emony Dax to extend an emergency walkway. As life support fails and it gets cold, she is reassured by Trill Symbiosis Commission head Audrid Dax that her symbiont can survive extreme temperatures. She spots broken fuel lines leading to the bay, and is warned by pilot Torias Dax that could pose trouble. As a group of Andorians burst into the corridor, murderer Joran Dax teases her that she could die when the base's reactor melts down, but she knocks out the Andorians.
Ezri holds open a door with great effort so the patients can get to the shuttle bay, with encouragement from science officer Jadzia Dax and ambassador Curzon Dax. As Senok pilots their shuttle into space, she's relieved, but concerned for the fate of those wounded in the future.

- The story takes place during an unspecified Andorian conflict. It was set after Ezri's service aboard Deep Space 9 in DS9 episode & novelization: What You Leave Behind in 2375 as well as in DS9 - Strange New Worlds VI short story: "Urgent Matter" in 2376, though she still held the rank of lieutenant junior grade. Her First Splinter timeline counterpart was promoted to lieutenant in 2376.
