In the mirror universe, Elizabeth Palmer was a communications officer aboard the ISS Enterprise. In 2268, she became the senior communications officer aboard the ship, when Nyota Uhura was assassinated using the Tantalus field. Suspicions abounded aboard the Enterprise that Montgomery Scott was responsible for Uhura's death. A a result, Palmer was cautious around Scott. She served in the position for at least nine years. In 2277, Lieutenant Palmer manned the communications station when the Enterprise was confronted by a fleet of Imperial Starfleet vessels under the command of Grand Admiral Matthew Decker.
