The Pathfinder Project, also known as Project Voyager, was a Starfleet operation that was created as a means of communicating with the USS Voyager after it was stranded within the Delta Quadrant and it was discovered that Voyager did indeed survive. (VOY episode: "Pathfinder")

The Project started between 2374 to 2376 and was overseen by Admiral Owen Paris. Its base of operations included Starfleet Communications Research Center where it was administrated by Commander Peter Harkins and led by Lieutenant Reginald Barclay. The first success of Project Pathfinder was in 2376 when it used the MIDAS Array to send a transmission through a micro-wormhole. By 2377, the level of commuication had improved to such an extent that regular transmissions for up to 11 minutes so that they could be made to aid Voyager as it journeyed back home as well as allow communication with family. (VOY episodes: "Life Line", "Inside Man", "Endgame")

Admiral William Ross asked the crew of Deep Space 9 for their opinions on the Pathfinder Project's database. Julian Bashir had identified the Hirogen, Species 8472, the Vaadwaur and the Srivani as potential threats to the United Federation of Planets. Cole and Section 31 had also identified potentially dangerous Delta Quadrant species. (DS9 - Section 31 novel: Abyss)

The crew of the USS da Vinci consulted the information on Project Voyager on multiple occasions, in order to learn more about the mobile emitter (SCE eBook: Malefictorum) and the technical specifications of Borg cubes. (CoE eBook: The Light)

Captain Walter Emick consulted the Pathfinder Project during the Gateways Crisis, to see if Voyager could use a Iconian Gateway near Europa Nova that would enable them to return to the Alpha Quadrant. Voyager proved to be nowhere near the Delta Quadrant gateway, although Kira Nerys suggested they might be able to use another one to get home. (DS9 - Gateways novel: Demons of Air and Darkness)

The database of all information of the Pathfinder Project were consulted by the crew of the USS Defiant when they encountered the Borg in the Gamma Quadrant in 2376. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Lesser Evil)

In late 2376, Fabian Stevens accessed specifications of the Doctor's mobile emitter from Project Voyager files to conduct experimentation with. He noted that chief engineer B'Elanna Torres had "a very weird way of keeping her notes." (SCE eBook: Malefictorum)
