Pennsylvania Station (aka Penn Station) was a major train station in New York City. Prior to 1963, it was an above-ground level structure two city blocks long, made of granite and marble. The underground portion of the station continued in operation into the 21st century.
In July 1940, Cooley, Benny Russell, Cassie, Jenny and nine other children took the subway from Harlem to Pennsylvania Station, where they transferred onto the Long Island Rail Road, on their way to the 1939 World's Fair. (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)
In May 1974, after landing at Balam International Airport and experiencing the chaos outside it, Roberta Lincoln told herself she would never complain about Penn Station again. (ST novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 1)
