Captain Perez was a Starfleet officer serving in the 24th century. By 2370, Perez commanded the USS Valor.

In 2370, the Valor and the USS Regal were assigned to escort the antimatter tanker Phoenix to Deep Space 9. Nearing the space station the Valor and the Regal were attacked by Klingon mercenaries in birds-of-prey. Admiral Alynna Nechayev later asked Captain Perez to submit a report on the incident.
