Phi Delta III was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the Phi Delta star system. Researchers from the United Federation of Planets discovered a lifeform on Phi Delta III at some point prior to the year 2268, a form of lava worms. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)
