The Philippines was a nation in southeast Asia, in the western Pacific Ocean on the planet Earth.

HistoryEdit

During the summer of 1991, the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Phillipines was publicly identified as a cause of a hole in Earth's ozone layer that was discovered in 1992. A secret incident involving the destruction of the satellite Morning Star was the lesser known contributing factor in the massive disruption. During the 24th century, Manolet Dayrit, the security chief on the USS Hood and CO of the USS Musgrave was born in the Philippines. (^{[citation needed]})
