Pierce was a male Human Starfleet Academy cadet, a member of the class of 2357. Pierce served as a bridge officer under "Captain" William T. Riker during an Academy training mission to retrieve the damaged starship USS Caspian from an asteroid field. (TNG comic: "Thin Ice")
