Presumably, a ship named USS Piper would be the prototype of this class, although such a vessel has yet to be mentioned. The two tug classes from the Last Unicorn Games RPG were the Piper-class and the Hogan-class, the two names together seem possibly intended to reference showy wrestling stars "Hulk" Hogan and "Rowdy Roddy" Piper.
