Pottrik Syndrome was a respiratory illness found in many Cardassians.

The condition was fatal until 2401 at which point a cure was developed and tested. The developments in treatment were announced by the Cardassian Science Ministry on stardate 78441.78. It was seen as a sign of a "return to normalcy" for the Cardassians after the Dominion War. (ST website: The Path to 2409)
