A Pulse wand was a weapon of Vulcan design.

In 2371, a member of Starfleet Intelligence's elite anti-Borg intelligence unit used a pulse wand against a number of Borg at the assimilated New Titan colony in the Core Frontier. However, the drones were unaffected which suggested that they had encountered the weapon before and had adapted to it's effect. (TOS novel: The Return)
