The Accuser class, or pumwI' class, dreadnaught was a type of warship used by the Klingon Empire in the year 2293. These were one of the largest vessels in the Klingon Defense Force at that time, second only to the Sword of Kahless class battleships. These warships were over 600 meters in length making them massive brutes that possessed five warp nacelles and thus a lot of reserve power which it used to strike fear into the hearts of the enemies of the Klingon people. They were, at the time, known as one of the strongest vessels known but were rare in number due to the expense in actually constructing one of these juggernaughts. Typically, the Accuser served as a command and control ship which meant it was never seen alone but as part of a squadron that consisted of B'rel class birds of prey and D7 class cruisers. This position of importance meant only the best of commanders would hope to control such a powerful craft which adds to their destructive capability in the battlefield. Many Klingon warriors remarked at this vessel and noted that it was the most elegant and perhaps beautiful of warships.

The one disadvantage of these craft was their slow speed, making it somewhat easy for enemy starships to escape the battle. Klingon tacticians believed that these ships could be destroyed if an enemy warship managed to evade the primary weapons array, but even then damage would be high from the secondary weapon arrays. This gave these craft the reputation of having never been destroyed in battle. Furthermore, the Accuser was equipped with a cloaking device which made it the largest, at the time, Klingon vessel that possessed such an ability.

The Accuser was created to work in conjunction with the Sword of Kahless class battleships and, together, replaced the unsuccessful Ber'taa class advanced heavy cruisers. Many of the problems with its predecessor model are believed to have been corrected by Klingon engineers.

At the beginning of the year 2293, six of these vessels were in service with more under construction. The fate of the class following the shift in budgetary priorities after the explosion of Praxis has not been specified. (TOS video game: Klingon Academy)

In the TOS video game: Starfleet Command (game), these dreadnoughts were depicted as having a variety of alphanumeric codes, ranging from C8 to C10K.
