Purification squads were teams of the Palamarian Freedom Brigade that carried out assassinations for Nassuc.

In 2373, Nassuc sent purification squads after the Regent of Palamar, Gaila and Hagath after encountering them on Deep Space 9. One squad managed to assassinate the Regent several hours later. (DS9 episode: "Business as Usual")

To avoid being killed by Nassuc's purification squad, Gaila gave her free weapons and also had to sell his moon and use his cash reserves to buy more weapons for her. With enough weapons to help her win the war, Nassuc called off the purification squad she had sent against Gaila. (DS9 novel: Demons of Air and Darkness)
