The Qismilians are tailed species native to either the Alpha, Beta, or Gamma Quadrant.

In 2370, several Qismilian came to Deep Space 9 for a trade conference. They were docked at docking bay five. The Qismilian representative protested the wormhole aliens' presence, stating: "Thou shalt not listen to foreign gods", and then quoted the 33rd article: "No being shall speak from a higher stature than any other." While their ship was in the middle of undock procedures, a fourth bomb (located in docking bay 5) exploded, causing the Qismilian pilot to lose control and run the ship into the docking ring.
