Admiral R'Miia was a Caitian female. She had a large family, including great-grandchildren. In 2355, R'Miia served on the panel for the court martial of Captain Jean-Luc Picard regarding the loss of the Stargazer. Commander Phillipa Louvois considered her (and Caitians in general) difficult to read, but suggested that emphasizing the crew of the Stargazer as a surrogate family could sway the admiral toward a guilty verdict (TNG novel: The Buried Age).
