The RIS D'deridex (IRC-1900A) was a Romulan Star Empire starship, a D'deridex-class warbird in Romulan Imperial Fleet service in the 24th century. When commissioned, the D'deridex was prototype of this new class of warbirds. (CCG set: Second Edition; Decipher RPG modules: Starfleet Operations Manual, Starships, DS9 reference: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual; ST video game: Starfleet Command III)

History and specificationsEdit

This vessel was commissioned during the Romulans' long withdrawal from contact with the Federation, and Starfleet has only vague intelligence regarding the ship's date entering service.

There are several possible dates, among them the year 2323 (Decipher RPG module: Starships), an unspecified year in the 2340s (ST reference: Starship Spotter)), and 2361 (Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual).

The D'deridex remained in active service in the 2370s decade outfitted as a battleship. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)

Later on, by the year 2379, D'deridex was outfitted as a dreadnought vessel. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)

BackgroundEdit

No history or fate is established for this vessel in Starfleet Command III games as its name was randomly selected for a dreadnought vessel by the games' software, with different possible outcomes. The "RIS" registry prefix originates in this game. The vessel may have been named for the D'deridex star system in ST reference: Star Charts.
