RIS D'deridex

The RIS D'deridex (IRC-1900A) was a Romulan D'deridex-class battlecruiser (or heavy cruiser) in service to the Romulan Star Empire's Star Navy in the 24th century. When commissioned, the D'deridex was a prototype of a new class of warbirds. Note: There exists considerable confusion over when this starship was commissioned. There are several possible dates, among them 2323 (ST roleplay module: Starships), an unspecified year in the 2340s (ST reference: Starship Spotter)), and 2361 (ST roleplay module: Starfleet Operations Manual).

This ship was in active service around the 2370s decade. (TNG video game: Starfleet Command III)

No final fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a D'deridex-class vessel, with different possible outcomes, by the SFC III game software. The game is also the source of the vessel's registry prefix "RIS", while the registry number and alternate capitalization of the name come from the Starships sourcebook. The type is from the TNG episode: "Contagion" (battlecruiser) or from the book Starships (battleship).
