The RIS Terix (IRC-1969) was a D'deridex-class battle cruiser (or battleship) in Romulan Star Empire's Star Navy service in the 24th century. Terix was commanded by Commander Sirol. (Star Trek Encyclopedia, ST:CCG: Q-Continuum, Decipher RPG module: Starships) The vessel was named after Terix, who served the Empire during the Earth-Romulan War. (ENT novel: Kobayashi Maru), (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing), (ENT novel: To Brave the Storm)
In 2370, the Terix investigated reports of an illegal Federation cloaking device. The device was discovered by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, and turned over to the Romulans in order to allieviate the potential diplomatic fallout. (TNG episode: "The Pegasus")
Federation covert agent Mackenzie Calhoun later boarded the Terix in Romulan space, in order to destroy the device. (NF short story: "Loose Ends")
In an alternate 2370, the Terix was the flagship of a Romulan fleet that was on the Romulan side of the Neutral Zone. She met the Federation's counterpart flagship, the USS Enterprise-D in an effort to investigate a large temporal anomaly reported in the Devron system. (TNG episode: "All Good Things...")
This ship remained in active service towards the end of the 2370s decade. (TNG video game: Starfleet Command III)
- No final fate is established for this vessel as its name was selected for a D'deridex-class vessel by the game software, with different possible outcomes. The SFC III game was the source of the ship's registry prefix "RIS". The ship seems likely named after the Centurion Terix. The type is from the TNG episode: "Contagion" (battlecruiser) or from the book Starships (battleship).
