Radny was a Ferengi DaiMon in charge of the Marauder-class vessel orbitting "Fitzal's Happy Haven".
He was dispatched by the Ferengi Alliance to seek both corporate and covert gains from the race to find the IFD. He was willing to broker information on its coordinates to the highest bidder: Federation, Romulan or Chodak. In exchange for materials from previous USS Enterprise-D away team missions in the nearby cluster, Starfleet eventually was rewarded the clues.
