Rana VI was a Federation world as of the mid-24th century. It was apparently the location of a Starfleet facility where phase work with antimatter was performed. Ensign Sonya Gomez opined that "it would've been all right" to have gone to Rana VI had she not been assigned to the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG episode: "Q Who"; SCE eBook: Many Splendors)
- According to Memory Alpha, the script for "Q Who" apparently gives this planet's name as "Ranous VI".
