Rauplop of Rangahorn was a male Ferengi explorer. He became famous for joining with Professor Dverl on an expedition to the center of the planet Ferenginar. After 84 days, the pair discovered a huge deposit of pure latinum. Shortly after, Rauplop killed and ate Dverl. Rauplop himself died 123 days into the expedition, leaving behind a diary of his and Dverl's journey. Among the entries in this diary was the sentence, "Even a blind man can recognize the glow of latinum", which later became the 123rd Rule of Acquisition.

The story of this journey to the center of Ferenginar was later adapted as a holodrama, starring Gormie Gormatop as Rauplop of Rangahorn. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
