Reclaw was a Klingon hero of legend. He defeated the twelve sons of Ch'Tan. The last to be beaten was the Lord of the Dead.

In 2376, Martok's name was substituted for that of Reclaw by the crew of the IKS Negh'Var. (DS9 novel: The Left Hand of Destiny)
