Resnick was a 23rd century Human man, an officer in Starfleet who served as the station commander of Deep Space Monitor Station 18 in the 2260s decade.

Biography[]

In 2268, Deep Space Monitor Station 18 received a message from Captain James T. Kirk, originating from the galactic core. Resnick was hesitant to contact the USS Enterprise until they could verify the signal was legitimate. Lieutenant Shea suggested to Resnick that the Enterprise crew would want to know about the signal. After listening to the message himself, he decided to send a message to the Enterprise.

When the Enterprise away team arrived, Resnick apologized for the mystery and Kirk agreed that the faster it was solved the better. Doctor Leonard McCoy assured that he wasn't there to assess the medical condition of Resnick, who in turn said it would be something he'd do if he were in Kirk's shoes. (TOS - New Visions comic: "Time's Echo")
