The Restoration of Bajor was a prophesised event within Bajoran belief that would have supposedly taken place with the release of the Pah-wraiths from their prison in the Fire Caves on Bajor. (DS9 episode: "'Til Death Do Us Part")

Winn Adami initially believed it was the Prophets who had told her to bring about the Restoration, although it was actually the Pah-wraith. (DS9 episodes: "Strange Bedfellows", "The Changing Face of Evil")

While on his way to stop Skrain Dukat and the Pah-wraith from leaving the Fire Caves, Benjamin Sisko was told by an apparition of Jake Sisko that Sisko would be killed if he tried to stop the Restoration. (DS9 novelization: What You Leave Behind)

Sisko was able to stop Dukat from starting the Restoration, by throwing himself and his enemy, along with the Book of the Kosst Amojan, into the fires. The Book was destroyed, preventing the Restoration from being attempted again in that way. (DS9 episode: "What You Leave Behind")
