The United Rigel Colonies was an interplanetary political state.

It consisted of several planets of the Beta Rigel star system: Beta Rigel II, Beta Rigel IV, Beta Rigel V, Beta Rigel VI and Beta Rigel X. It was a Federation member state, admitted in 2202.

Its dominant species were Human and humanoid Rigelians. Its cities included New Burbank and the Rigel Trade Complex. (ST reference: Star Charts)

The planets of the Beta Rigel system in Star Charts are inextricably linked to those of the Rigel system seen in other sources. In a merged continuity, the United Rigel Colonies would likely comprise Federation-settled colonies on the worlds of Rigel II, Rigel IV, Rigel V (each are stated to be Federation members in other sources), Rigel VI and Rigel X.
