The Rindamil were a Gamma Quadrant species originating from the planet Rindamil III who became members of the Dominion in 2376. The Rindamil had developed basic transporter technology, but had not been able to develop warp drive. As a consequence, they had not been able to travel further than their own moon.

Vannis, a female Vorta, made first contact with the Rindamil in late 2376, and oversaw their entry into the Dominion. The Dominion wanted to use Rindamil food supplies to feed the Overne, a species who constructed the Dominion's starships and were facing a world-wide famine on Overne III.
