A rippleberry is a fruit found in the Gamma Quadrant and one of very few foods the Vorta enjoy. (DS9 episode: "Treachery, Faith, and the Great River")

History and specifics[]

In 2373, Weyoun gave Pardek a rippleberry tree during the non-aggression pact negotiations between the Dominion and the Romulan Star Empire. Pardek planted the tree at his villa on the Apnex Sea. (TNG - Section 31 novel: Rogue)

The Vorta who led the Dominion attack on the Atlantis Project enjoyed rippleberries and lamented to Louis Blanchard that he had not eaten any in almost a year. (TNG short story: "Solace in Bloom")

The Talaxian Neelix was allergic to rippleberries. In a recipe for rippleberry fruitcake, Chef Neelix substituted the rippleberries with an uttaberry ingredient in 2409. According to the chef, only a Vorta could tell the difference. (STO - Q's Winter Wonderland mission: "Rippleberry Fruitcake")
