Robert Andreassi was a human Starfleet officer serving in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers.

In the early 2260s decade, Captain Andreassi was the commanding officer of the SCE. He approached then-Chief of Starfleet Operations, Admiral Matthias W. Jefferies, and requested the use of three mothballed Daedalus-class starships for use by the SCE.

In the year 2264, after the relaunch of the USS Lovell, the USS Masao and the USS Zander, Captain Andreassi was interviewed by Tim Pennington of the Federation News Service about the reintroduction of the century-old starships to the fleet. (Star Trek Magazine Issue 162: "Blast Off!")
