In the mirror universe, Robert Bennett was a Terran admiral in the Imperial Starfleet. In 2288, he attended a secret meeting at the home of Admiral Lance Cartwright, at which he drank a good deal of Romulan ale. The meeting was the start of a conspiracy to depose Emperor Spock. Bennett urged caution, as he did not want to risk turning Spock into a martyr of the people. His role in the conspiracy was discovered when his accomplice General Quiniven implicated the rest of the conspirators. He was dealt with. (TOS novella: The Sorrows of Empire)
