Roger Lake was a human Starfleet officer, and captain of the USS Peleliu when it was posted to Belle Terre around the turn of the 2280s decade. Captain Lake was 62 at the time.
Lake was a stout man with thick sandy hair that was thinning towards the back of his head.
Roger Lake had been in space for 28 years, with over thirteen years experience in fighting-ship command and a further ten years commanding service vessels before that. He was 10 months junior to Captain Kirk in terms of seniority as a ranked Captain. (TOS - New Earth novel: Challenger)
