Roberto Orci is a co-writer on the 2009 Star Trek film (with Alex Kurtzman). Along with Kurtzman, he also co-wrote the basic story behind the IDW Publishing mini-series Star Trek: Countdown, which is intended as a prequel to the Star Trek film.
